NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team competed at the Westminster Invitational Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Julia Balaski (Mercer, PA/Mercer) and Noelani Takei (Fremont, CA/Irvington) earned runner-up finishes in their respective events on Saturday
* Balaski threw 124-5 in the javelin and Takei tallied a height of 9-10 in the pole vault
* The 4x1 team of Rachel Skoczlas (Bridgeville, PA/Canon-McMillan), Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf), Ella McGowan (Erie, PA/Waterford), and Jaade Duncan (Turner Falls, MA/Turner Falls) ran a time of 56.68 for eighth
* Duncan recorded a season best time of 12.73 for sixth in the 100m
* Distance runner Sam Abate (North East, PA/North East) registered sixth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:46.79
* The 4x4 relay team of Laffan, McGowan, Skoczlas, and Caroline McDevitt finished the meet with a time of 4:27.51 for ninth place
