Four Selected to USC All-Region Women's Soccer Team
The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team has four players named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III All-Region VII team.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team has four players named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III All-Region VII team.
Senior forward Trinity Prestash (Philipsburg, PA/West Branch) was selected to the First Team, while senior defender Nicole Croushore (Smithton, PA/Yough) and sophomore midfielder Marlene Andrade (Walnut Creek, CA/Clayton Valley Charter) landed on the Second Team. Junior goalkeeper Riley Morningstar (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was chosen to the Fourth Team.
Prestash is making her first appearance on the First Team and will advance to the All-America ballot. She was selected to the Second Team a year ago. Prestash tied for second in NCAA Division III statistics in total goals with 27 and tied for fifth in total points with 61. The AMCC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-AMCC choice, had a 10-game scoring streak that included three four-goal games. Prestash also added seven assists and scored 10 game-winning goals.
Croushore is earning her first All-Region honor after being named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year and being a First Team All-AMCC selection. Over the final 11 games, she helped the defense post nine shutouts and only allowed two goals. Overall, the defense registered 13 shutouts and tallied a 0.47 goals-against average in 21 games. Croushore also recorded two goals and one assist for five points.
Andrade is garnering her first All-Region accolades. The midfielder was an All-AMCC First Team honoree, scoring four goals and dishing out a team-high nine assists for 17 points. Andrade has registered at least one point in 10 contests, including two three-point performances. She dished out three assists in the AMCC Championship game.
Morningstar, a First Team All-Conference selection, is earning her first All-Region honors. She started in 20 games between the pipes, making 38 saves and posting a 17-3 overall record. Morningstar was instrumental in 12 shutouts and tallied a 0.46 goals-against average.
