McNany Named AMCC Softball Player of the Year; Five Selected All-Conference
Senior infielder Jocelyn McNany was named the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Player of the Year, headlining the All-Conference Team announced on Tuesday.
ERIE, Pa. – Senior infielder Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) was named the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Player of the Year, headlining the All-Conference Team announced on Tuesday.
McNany was also selected to the First Team along with freshman outfielder Chloe Nale (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell). Senior outfielder Sierra Williams (Grove City, PA/Lakeview) landed on the Second Team, while junior shortstop Meghan Petitte (Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) and junior catcher Alexia Brown (Wexford, PA/Pine-Richland) were chosen to the Third Team.
This is the first Player of the Year accolade for McNany and third time being named to the First Team. During the regular season, she ranked first in conference games in batting average (.565), slugging percentage (.930), runs (21), doubles (9), total bases (53). McNany was also second in hits (32) and RBIs (17). Overall, she was first on the team and in the AMCC in hits (63), runs (40), doubles (19), home runs (7), batting average (.492), slugging percentage (.875). McNany tied for second in most hits in a season in the AMCC record book. She also broke the program record and tied the AMCC record for most doubles in a season with 20. McNany tallied a hit in every game except three and had 12 stolen bases. She becomes the 13th player in program history to earn Player of the Year.
Nale is one of six freshmen on the All-Conference Team. She ranked third in conference games with a .489 batting average and tied for fourth in hits (23) over 15 games. Nale also scored eight runs, while smacking four doubles and four triples for a .745 slugging percentage to rank fifth. Overall, she ranked third on the team in hits (41), fourth in RBIs (22) and fifth in batting average (.347).
Williams finishes her career with her third Second Team honor. The senior played in all 16 conference games in centerfield, batting .346 with 18 hits and 15 RBIs. She smacked five doubles and scored 10 runs. Overall, Williams had 37 hits and was second on the team with 26 RBIs. She registered nine doubles, three home runs and a triple in 37 games. In conference play, she posted a 1.000 fielding percentage with 28 putouts and six assists.
Petitte is earning her third All-Conference honor. She was voted Preseason Player of the Year. The junior led conference games with three home runs. Petitte registered a .400 batting average in the 14 conference games. She posted 18 hits, four doubles and three home runs with 10 RBIs. Petitte also scored 13 runs and had two stolen bases. Overall, she had 28 hits in 82 at-bats with six doubles and 16 RBIs.
Brown is earning her first All-AMCC honors. The catcher started in all but one conference game. Brown registered a .385 batting average in 15 contests. She tallied 15 hits and scored 14 runs, while driving in seven. She stole three bases and walked five times. Defensively, she boasted a .961 average with 41 putouts and eight assists. Overall, she had 31 hits with five doubles for a .369 average in 30 games
