Behrend Throwers Host First Annual Throw Out Cancer Invitational
Penn State Behrend throwers will host the first annual Throw Out Cancer Invitational on Saturday, May 31, welcoming athletes of all ages to the Outdoor Track & Field Complex on the campus of Penn State Behrend.
ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend throwers will host the first annual Throw Out Cancer Invitational on Saturday, May 31, welcoming athletes of all ages to the Outdoor Track & Field Complex on the campus of Penn State Behrend.
This invite will honor former NFL player, NCAA champion, and local standout Brian Milne, which aims to bring together the Erie track & field community for a full day of throwing events, including shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer.
All middle school, high school, collegiate, and masters' athletes are encouraged to compete with a donation-based entry being taken. Competitors and spectators are invited to enjoy high-level throws from Olympic trials qualifiers, state champions, All-Americans and average joes with additional activities including a 50/50 raffle and t-shirt sales.
