Tobin Tallies Two Event Wins Saturday

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track & field team competed at the Westminster Invitational Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Carter Tobin (Irwin, PA/Norwin) tallied victories in the 200m with a personal best time of 21.68 and then ran a time of 10.75 in the 100m
* Tobin was followed by Jake Egizio (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) with a personal best time of 11.01 in the 100m and season best time of 22.00 in the 200m for third place in these events
* In the discus, Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was victorious with a distance of 158-0, while Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) placed seventh (135-9)
* Cotton would on to finish third with a throw of 48-3 ¼ in the shot put
* Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell) garnered second and fifth in the 800m and 1500m with times of 1:58.93 and 4:11.97
* Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) recorded a regional qualifying height of 15-1 in the pole vault for fourth place
* Freshmen Charlie Motter (Oil City, PA/Oil City) (158-11) and Braden Balaski (Mercer, PA/Mercer) (148-6) registered fourth and sixth place in the javelin
* Brandon Konieczki (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) (Long Jump/20-2 ½) and Derek Hillhouse (Erie, PA/McDowell) (6-3 ¼) earned eighth in their respective events
* Distance runner Peyton Brewer (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) delivered a career best of 9:53.69 in the 3000m steeplechase for third, followed by Tim Hamilton (Winchester, MA/Winchester) (10:15.67) and Aiden Seeman (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) in eighth and 10th place
* Seniors Joey George (Leechburg, PA/Kiski) (10000m/34:58.00), Drew Knight (Butler, PA/Butler) (4:13.13), Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) (5000m/15:56.66) crossed the finish line in fifth and 10th place in their respective events
* Dominic Marino (Girard, PA/Girard) claimed third and ninth in the 110m hurdles and 100m with times of 16.13 and 11.34
* In the 400m hurdles, Shlok Chavda (Chantilly, VA/Freedom South Riding) ran a time of 1:01.43 in seventh place
* The 4x4 relay team of Tobin, Konieczki, Egizio, and Jake Nardozza (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford) ended the meet with a third place time of 3:36.44
