Men's Tennis Heads to Hershey to Face Marymount in Crossover Championship
The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team will battle Marymount in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and Atlantic East Crossover Championship on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Hershey Racquet Club.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will battle Marymount in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and Atlantic East Crossover Championship on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Hershey Racquet Club.

* The Lions captured their fourth straight AMCC Championship on Sunday
* Behrend defeated No. 1 Penn State Altoona 4-1 in the title match
* Behrend was named the Co-AMCC Regular-Season Champions with Penn State Altoona
* This is the second AMCC/Atlantic East Crossover Championship
* The Lions enter the match with a 12-8 overall record, while riding a six-match winning streak
* Graham Louis (Erie, PA/Fairview) was named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year, while landing on the All-AMCC Team for singles and doubles
* Head coach Louis Murphy was voted AMCC Coach of the Year
* Jonathan Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt), William Thomas (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem), Carson Souser (Clay, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt), and Owen Sinnott (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) were named to the All-Conference Team
* Louis leads the team with a 15-5 overall singles record and a 13-4 doubles mark

* The Saints are 10-9 overall this season
* Marymount defeated Marywood 4-0 in the Atlantic East semifinals, before defeating Neumann in the championship match
* The Saints posted a 4-2 decision over the Knights to advance to the AMCC-AEC Crossover Championship
* Last year at the AMCC-AEC Crossover, Marymount defeated Behrend, 5-2
* The Saints currently have a seven-match winning streak heading into Sunday
* Nicolas Stromberg and Adam Stanulis were winners at No. 1 doubles and then at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively, to help the Saints get past Neumann
* Degamwar is 14-1 at No. 1 singles, while Gunek Singh ranks second on the team with 11 singles wins
