Men's Swimming and Diving Soars Past Nazareth

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving won 14 events to post a commanding 196-68 win over non-conference Nazareth on Saturday afternoon.

* The win is the second straight dual-meet victory for the Lions
* Behrend defeated Fredonia last night
* It is the most points the Lions have scored in a dual meet this season
* Behrend won all but two events
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Isaac Stoeckle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) won two individual events
* Compton was also apart of the winning relays on the day
* In the 400 medley relay, Compton, Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey), Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair), and Zachary Turner (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) tallied a time of 3:38.17 for first place
* Compton then won the 200 freestyle (1:46.57), before claiming first in the 400 IM (4:11.62)
* Stoeckle had wins in the 100 backstroke (53.68) and the 200 backstroke (2:04.26)
* Ryan Willis (State College, PA/State College) led in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.35) and Ryan Okey (Erie, PA/McDowell) followed with a win in the 200 butterfly (2:07.20)
* In the 50 free, Tumino had the best time in 21.56 while David Hauptman (Titusville, PA/Titusville) won the 200 breaststroke (2:22.78)
* The final individual winners were Logan Rakow (Franklin, PA/Venango Catholic) in the 500 free (5:13.44) and Turner in the 100 butterfly (55.19)
* Once again, diver Jacob Earley (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) claimed both diving events for the Lions
* The final relay win belonged to Tumino, Turner, Rakow and Compton with a time of 3:22.22 in the 400 freestyle relay
