Men’s Soccer Set To Honor Eight Seniors vs. Carlow Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team hosts Carlow for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) contest on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, seniors John Ziobro (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley), Johnathan Swann (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny), Blake Cooper (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional), Jaren Beigh (Enola, PA/East Pennsboro), Chris Profaca (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge), Aaron Kovatch (Caracas, Venezuela/Madison Learning Center), Jacob Gajewski (Akron, NY/Clarence), and Andrew Cassano (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) will be recognized.

* Behrend trumped Waynesburg, 3-0, in its final regular season non-conference contest on Wednesday
* Cooper netted two scores for the Lions, while Profaca netted an unassisted goal against the Yellow Jackets
* This was the third straight shutout for Behrend and second of the year for goalkeeper Evan Dougal (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) as he made three saves in the victory
* Cooper ranks first on the team and is tied for third in the AMCC in goals (nine) and fifth in points (19)
* Owen Petersen (Erie, PA/McDowell) is second on the Lions with five scores and 11 points, followed by Profaca's three goals

* In net, Dougal has recorded 16 saves and two shutouts in six starts, while ranking second in the AMCC with a .762 save percentage. Anthony Scalise (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) leads the team with 34 saves in nine starts and sits tied for second in the conference rankings in shutouts (4) and third in save percentage (.756)
* As a team, Behrend is second in corner kicks (92) and third in the conference in goals (24), assists (19), points (67), and shots (228)

* The Celtics currently own an overall record of 3-11 and 0-6 in conference play, most recently falling 2-1 at Penn State Altoona on Wednesday
* Carlow has defeated Penn State Mont Alto (3-0), Penn State Beaver (4-1), and Penn State Hazleton (7-0) this season
* Freshman Hunter Brady leads the team with four goals and three assists for 11 points. Konner Sayre has also dished out three assists to go along with two score for second on the Celtics with seven points
