Ciocco Garners ABCA/Rawlings All-Region 7 Second Team Selection
Penn State Behrend baseball senior designated hitter Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) has earned his third postseason honor for the 2025 season after being selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region 7 Second Team.
Erie, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball senior designated hitter Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) has earned his third postseason honor for the 2025 season after being selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region 7 Second Team.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
Ciocco finished second in the AMCC and ninth in the nation with a .452 batting average, while also being first in the conference in hits (71), third in runs batted in (43) and on-base percentage (.527), and fifth in slugging percentage (.611). He led the team in walks (23) and tied for first on the team in doubles (14) and home runs (three). Ciocco registered 42 runs scored for second on the team. He ranked as the 17th toughest hitter to strikeout in Division III with only seven strikeouts in 157 plate appearances and recorded a 17-game hitting streak during the season. Ciocco delivered his 100th career RBI at Pitt-Bradford and his 150th career hit against Fredonia. He reached base in 41 of 42 games and tallied 25 multi-hit games and 10 contests with two or more RBIs.
This year, Ciocco was also named to the All-AMCC First Team and D3baseball.com All-Region 7 Second Team.
