Women's Bowling Earns NTCA All-Academic Team; Five Individuals Honored
The Penn State Behrend women's bowling squad received the 2025 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team honors for excelling academically.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling squad received the 2025 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team honors for excelling academically.
NTCA recognized teams with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year and individuals with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. As a team, the Lions boasted a 3.278 GPA, while senior Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe), senior Katy Richardson (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg), junior Emily Warrene (Tarentum, PA/Deer Lakes), junior Lillie Holt (Pulaski, PA/West Middlesex) and freshman Kayla Kohut (North East, PA/Harbor Creek) were chosen to the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athletes.
Behrend, Hilbert, La Roche, Pitt-Greensburg, St. Vincent and William Smith represented the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) on the NTCA All-Academic chart.
NTCA had 49 bowling programs across the country achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher with Sacred Heart University bowlers earning the highest cumulative grade point average of 3.82 this academic year.
