Behrend Bowling Earns NTCA All-Academic Honors
The Penn State Behrend women's bowling squad received the 2024 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic honors for excelling academically.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling squad received the 2024 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic honors for excelling academically.
NTCA recognized teams with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher during the 2023-24 academic year and individuals with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. As a team, the Lions boasted a 3.211 GPA, while senior senior Ashley Debich (Leechburg, PA/Kiski) and junior Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) were chosen to the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athletes.
Behrend, Penn State Altoona and William Smith represented the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) on the NTCA All-Academic chart.
NTCA had 61 bowling programs across the country achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher with Jackson State University bowlers earning the highest cumulative grade point average of 3.77 this academic year. 364 honorees, representing 75 institutions, achieved a 3.4 or higher and All-Academic recognition.
