PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team saw its season come to an end in the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships, falling to No. 5 New Jersey City in a single elimination mega match at Pines Plaza Lanes on Friday.

* Senior Bella Pilyih (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area) led the way for the Lions rolling a game-high and a season-high 215 in the team format
* Pilyih was followed by freshman Chelsea Wayne who tallied a 188, two shy of her season-best of 190
* New Jersey City forced the best of seven baker game with a 808-763 baker victory
* Behrend held a one pin advantage of 158-157 after the first baker game, but the Gothic Knights won the next three of four games to force the best of seven
* It came down to the final game in the best of seven, where New Jersey recorded a 165-150 win to secure the first round victory
* For her efforts on Friday, Pilyih earned AMCC All-Tournament honors
